Professional Experience
Since
1989, Ms. Emmons has diversified
accounting and auditing experience and
is an audit partner at the firm
specializing in municipal auditing.
Specializations
Rana is
engagement partner on multiple municipal
audit engagements and
is actively involved in municipal related organizations,
such as the Michigan Government Finance
Officers Association and the Oakland
County Treasurer’s Association.
She has taught seminars for the
Michigan Government Finance Officers
Association, the Oakland County Chapter
of the
Michigan
Township’s Association,
and the Oakland County Treasurers
Association.
She has also been appointed by
the Michigan Department of Treasury to
the Michigan Committee on Governmental
Accounting and Auditing.
She has
been on the Michigan Government Finance
Officers Association Accounting
Standards Committee since 1997 and has
participated in many projects including
creating the TIFA Manual and responses
to GASB exposure drafts.
As a member of the Michigan
Committee on Governmental Accounting and
Auditing, Rana has participated in
revising the State Uniform Reporting
Format, the Uniform Chart of Accounts,
the State Accounting Procedures Manual,
sample investment policies, and Numbered
Letters and Bulletins.
